Annual General Meeting - 13th May 2025
At our AGM a number of important changes took place, firstly, Phil Webber who has been our chairperson for the last 23 years stepped down from that position and was replaced Gwen Postlethwaite. Gwen has a lot of experience with TOG and spent some 27 years with us as club leader before stepping down in October 2018 to spend more time with her growing family. Gwen returned to us a little over 12 months ago and has spent a lot of time getting to know everyone again before our members recently voted for her to become our new chairperson.
Barry King, our vice chairperson, and Julia Simpson, our club secretary, both of whom have each spent over 40 years supporting TOG also stepped down and whilst we are still going through the process of selecting a new vice chairperson we are please to say that Helen Magee has been elected as our new club secretary. Helen is well known to everyone at TOG having supported us in many ways over the years, including as a helper and also assistant leader.
Although Phil, Barry and Julia have all stepped down from their responsibilities as club officers we are pleased to let you know they all intend to continue coming to club to assist in any way they can. Our best wishes go out to all, both new and old and wish them every success.
New Members
Until recently our club membership was full but as we now have access to both the large and small halls every week, we can now accept some new membership applications.
If you have any friends or know of anyone that would like to join us, please ask them to make contact so that we can arrange to meet with them, but please ask them to contact us first and not just to turn up at club.
Ring and Ride
All Ring and Ride buses are currently full and we have a waiting list for members wanting to use the service. Please let us know if you want to be added to the list.
